Dedicated mailing and e-mail campaign to targeted art related media & organisations. Romauld Hazoume (b. 1962) is one of the most prominent African artists working today. Hazoume's art grows organically from daily life as he creates sculptures from everyday materials, transforming oil cans into masks and sculptures that reflect both the black market economy of Benin and the historical significance of the mask within African culture. Hazoume documents his surroundings through his photographic and video works, providing a view of the informal economy that has emerged from the exploration of African resources.
