"CoolBrands" is an annual initiative aiming to highlight brands from a wide range of sectors that have become the coolest and most iconic in their field. The publication explores, with text and visuals, how these brands have succeeded in reaching the top and the journey that they have taken to get there. Part of a pioneering programme that was founded with the aim of paying tribute to the UK's strongest brands, "CoolBrands" is one of three annual programmes administered by Superbrands (UK) Ltd.Through identifying these brands and providing their case histories, the Superbrands organisation hopes that people will gain a greater understanding and appreciation of the important and highly topical discipline of branding, as well as a greater admiration for the brands themselves. Beyond this publication, the programme also encompasses a dedicated launch event as well as ongoing appearances by representatives of the Superbrands organisation on TV, radio and in newspapers commenting upon branding. A dedicated supplement is also published in "The Observer" to further explore the "CoolBrands" programme.
This year's "CoolBrands" includes respected brands such as Agent Provocateur, Aston Martin, Creative Review, Kerastase, LG, Tate Modern and Vitra.
