Despite reforms to the criminal justice system’s investigations into crimes of sexual violence there has been little discernible impact for rape victims. This accessible book interrogates the use of a victim’s sexual history as evidence in rape trials. Adopting a critical multidisciplinary perspective underpinned by feminist theory, the authors show how this issue is symptomatic of the wider problem of securing justice for victims of sexual violence.
