Frithy Wood - Past, Present, Future - Restoring the Repertoire
This book tells the story of an ancient woodland in Lawshall, Suffolk. It gives an insight of its history, archaeology, fauna, flora and wildlife. It also looks at the management practices used today and in the past.It marks the turning point when in 2013, though Heritage Lottery funding, a new phase of management set about restoring the coppicing regime in the woodland. The restoration was undertaken through a series of programmes and projects that encouraged people to enjoy being outdoors while helping to protect this important woodland environment.
