This release follows the hugely successful CD "Chant - Music for Paradise", which went platinum in England and Germany and won the 2009 Echo Classical Award. At first the monks declined to make another CD but eventually decided to do so on their own label and chose Preiser as the distributor. The CD contains Gregorian Chant in its pure meditative form. The title means love and suffering and refers to plainsong used between Maundy Thursday and Easter Sunday.
