Anxiety disorders are currently the most common psychiatric illnesses affecting both children and adults. Whether it is the generalized anxiety associated with every day living or the devastating effects of a severe traumatic event, people who develop the symptoms of an anxiety disorder commonly find their personal, social, and vocational lives impaired.
