CHEMISTRY FOR ENGINEERS is primarily intended as a textbook for B.E./B.Tech students of all disciplines of Engineering & Technology. This book introduces the fundamental concepts in a simpler, comprehensive and more illustrative way. The book contains 12 chapters, which provide a core course of engineering chemistry for all branches of engineering and technology. Each chapter starts with brief introduction, history of the topic followed by meticulous discussion on each topic and practice zone containing solved numerical problems, unsolved numerical problems and questions drawn from university examinations. Most of the topics have included the latest information explained with illustrations and nicely drawn diagrams. 505 diagrams, 83 tables and more than 100 solved numerical problems in addition to 1071 multiple choice problems have been included in the book for the better understanding of the students.
The book has been written with the objective to serve the professional requirements of undergraduate students, teachers of all branches of Engineering and Technology as per latest needs and is an upgraded/revised version of our previous book, Engineering Chemistry: A text Book with addition of some new topics/chapters.
