This DVD consists of 8 video segments in various early childhood centers and schools in the Miami, Florida area. Each segment, ranging in length from 7 to 9 minutes each, shows diverse groups of children engaged in learning. Focusing on children’s learning, the teacher’s role in the classroom, and interactions among children and teachers, each video illustrates key concepts found in early childhood, such as theories in practice, curriculum approaches, classroom routines, materials, teacher-child interactions, teacher-parent interactions, and unique issues associated with each setting or approach.
