The Good Girl is set in Detroit against the backdrop of the busy city. Myron Parker, a sexy sophisticated African-American alpha male that is afraid of an emotional commitment, but needs to find a "good girl" to marry in order to further his political career. The heroine is a naive African-American career girl with a very guarded heart, she believes in the romantic notion of love. She knows the hero is out of her league and yet there's something about him that has her agreeing to his marriage of convenience. They quickly learn that there is nothing convenient about their marriage. The chemistry they share is so volatile it consumes the pages as it consumes them. What he proposed is not what he gets.
