The Story of the East Crawley Washerama
What this book is NOT. It is not an instruction book on how to wash clothes, nor is it a guide to setting up a chain of launderettes and retiring thereafter with a fortune. It tells instead of totally unexpected year that happened in the lives of four boys accustomes to drifting about aimlessly in a chilly suburb of north west London. Nothing to do, nowhere to go. No money. Nasty weather. Their gradual involvement with the other end to the age spectrum suprises them. They never meant to get so involved. They are, at first, reluctant and then intrigued. Things happen, but it is not a spy story either. The situation gets out of the control of the boys. Anxiety increases. Try it, whatever your age. It is quite short. And anything that shed light on how other people think may come in useful.
