Paul Summers aged twenty-one had gone through his life semi illiterate due to a blow he sustained to his head as a three year old. His mundane life as a labourer in the gardening section of a DIY store in London, changes dramatically one night due to a beating he receives from three yobs, embarking him on a life that was completely unknown to him. There are many shocks and surprises waiting for him, one now knowing because of his disability, his family had been systematically robbing of his savings. His new life takes him all over the country meeting unexpected challenges, one of them bringing him into contact with a career girl who also had problems growing up. She is a junior solicitor, and because of her childhood, wants to make it a lifetime commitment where men don't figure anywhere in her life whatsoever. He thinks he's met her before somewhere, and her attitude towards him is very cold to say the least. Both have hurdles to cross as they go about their daily lives, hurdles that seem to get higher and higher for both of them...
