Some of us have a strange idea that we are special beings unrelated to the universe around us. This is not so. We are made of the same materials that made up the stars and the planets, but are put together in a more organized form. According to unitary concepts, the universe is one field always in process. It is based upon one structure -- the free energy structure -- and operates on one principle, the unitary principle. All structures that exist in the universe (atoms, stars, molecules, plants, animals) are the ultimate result of myriad transformations of specific aggregates of free energy structures guided by the field process. What we call matter, energy, life, mind, and society are no more than different aspects or expressions of this universal process.
