My Kind of Poetry is a collection of mostly light-hearted poems, written by Janice Carter and inspired by her friends and family, people she has met, celebrities she admires and places dear to her heart. Janice was born in 1951 in Swindon, where her father, Bernard worked as a railwayman. Her working life was spent with Guidex and Triumph International. Now retired, her hobbies include stamp collecting, drawing, writing poetry and playing snooker. Janice's favourite poets are Patience Strong and Kathleen Partridge.
