John Paul Caponigro's Power of Color combines traditional color theory with the modern day artist. Photographers and designers using Photoshop will learn and benefit from the combination of color management (science - matching color), color theory (optics - what the human eye does), and color strategy (aesthetics - what artists do to further their creative/expressive ends). Photographers and artists will work with color in new ways, and be able to articulate what choices they make to control the power of color.
The Power of Color is divided into three sections: Color in Photoshop, Theory, and Strategy. A sensitive and educated human eye must intervene to accommodate transformations in color that occur from monitor to print. Through examples and exercises The Power of Color can help all users quickly identify color problems and direct them to the most effective solutions.
