C. A. Campos's "palabras" are fruits to try, to like or dislike, seeds to weigh, to plant or discard. In both Spanish and English, these are his modest offerings to the reader, to the reader "who allows him to speak," Fruits which are ripe and ready to be eaten, seeds which await "hands" willing to help out, "hands" who in themselves see a plot of land.
