Better Than Dreams relates the story of Melvyn, a victim of stomach cancer, who contracts a serious infection and has to be re-admitted to hospital. His delirious dreams force him to re-examine his beliefs as he recovers. Attracted by the beauty and wholesomeness of the inhabitants of the re-created world and intrigued by the character of its prince, Immanuel, he begins to re-read the Bible to see if his visions and the text co-relate. In spite of continuing doubts, Melvyn becomes aware of the Holy Spirit drawing him into the love circle of God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
