Dunbar Blues Away, an original musical, embraces the mystique, music, pageantry and aura of the Harlem Renaissance. There's new growth in the air the mystique of Harlem has attracted many. Dunbar Blues Away focuses on the architecture wonders of Harlem and history makers who overcame barriers during the roaring 20's to the sixties. The residents of Harlem showcased in this play include known and unknown artist, politicians, and NAACP Executive Board Members whose fight for equality is artfully waltzed in a dazzling display of love, music, and laughter.
