Hands-On Activities Across the Curriculum, Vol. II is a compilation of great ideas created by pre-teachers at the university and taught in the Laboratory elementary school. We all seem to not remember those worksheets we did throughout elementary school, but do remember the hands-on activities done. Those activities have helped us to remember the skills that were taught within those hands-on activities. For that reason, sharing ideas of hands-on activities can only enhance your classroom giving you ways of teaching a skill that you may not have considered. Literature and skills tied to the photographs of each activity, for the most part, are generic enough to use with other skills and subject areas. The subject sections are color-coded to find those areas easily and the book includes patterns that can be used in hands-on activities.
