Soulful Americana singer/songwriter Buddy Miller began his career in the early sixties. A young Shawn Calvin was in his band on vocals and guitar.
Buddy did a number of sessions and worked on albums by Jim Lauderdale, Victoria Williams, and Heather Myles amongst others. From the archives of Hightone Records his debut ‘Your Love and Other Lies’ is combined with ‘Poison Love’ and presented here as a 2 CD set released at mid-price. Buddy was also the lead guitarist for Emmylou Harris, and she returned the favour by contributing backing vocals on ‘Poison Love’. In addition to his solo career and playing with Emmylou he has played guitar with Steve Earle and produced albums by Jimmie Dale Gilmore and written songs for the Dixie Chicks.
