Restructuring and Resistance - Perspectives from Atlantic Canada
The impact of capitalism's struggle to restructure and rebuild a crumbling economic and social system is felt most negatively by minorities, women and low paid working class people and particularly those who live in underdeveloped regions.
The contributors to this book share their perspective on how the resistance struggle is being waged in fishing villages, farms, coal mines and industrial work places in the Atlantic region. The book provides a theoretical framework from which these individual, and often isolated, struggles can be connected and understood; thus enabling clear alliances to be built.
