The works selected for inclusion in this bibliography pertain to the most read and studied in undergraduate classes in Latin American Literature and comparative literature. The bibliography begins with a comprehensive introduction to orient the student and the citations that follow are arranged alphabetically by author and title. For each author, a general bibliography is included. The citations to secondary sources provide refernces to readily accessible works that discuss the author's life and achievements, often providing comparisons with contemporaries.
