The Finding Your Way series of books has been developed by family practitioner Kay Brophy and offers a safe and proven approach for teaching emotional wellbeing.
Each book focuses on one of the six core emotions innate to all of us, including 'sadness' in The Sad Skeleton. Each title is beautifully illustrated and includes the Lifeland map of core emotions which the characters follow to help them deal with their feelings.
Children are now facing greater emotional pressures than ever before and it's up to adults to help them find their way. The aim of Finding Your Way is to make talking about all emotions safe through stories and education.
Emotions are different to feelings but they often get confused and mixed up. Emotions are innate to all humans; they are key to our survival yet children often fear and misunderstand them.
The Finding Your Way books and resources are tools to help parents and carers guide children through their emotional world and to help teachers deliver the curriculum through the context of emotional health and wellbeing throughout childhood.
