Proceedings of the Tenth Meeting of the - French Colonial Historical Society, April 12-14, 1984
Presents studies of the French colonial experience, written by historians, archaeologists and literary scholars. The topics of this year's proceedings range from sixteenth century perception of Amerindians in Canada to the r?íalliement of French Guiana during the second World War. Although the themes represented in this volume are widely divergent, there is a chronological scope and common thread throughout that helps the reader to an understanding of France d'outremer.
