A comprehensive anthology of the published and unpublished writings and speeches of Helen Lindquist Bonny. Included in the 22 chapters are: an autobiographical essay, early articles on Bonny's work at the Maryland Psychiatric Center and the founding of the Institute for Consciousness and Music, Bonny's three monographs on Guided Imagery and Music (GIM), a sequence of articles showing the evolution of GIM, an extensive unpublished case study from Bonny's dissertation, and Bonny's more recent writings on the analysis of music programs, and music and spirituality. The entire volume was edited by Lisa Summer, who introduces the book, and then contextualizes each chapter so that the reader understands where each work fits within Bonny's productive professional life.
