Gino De Dominicis may be regarded as one of the most emblematic and mysterious figures of Italian art in the period following WWII. The artist, who, from many points of view is still very elusive, is surrounded by his own legendary aura. The exhibition, curated by Achille Bonito Oliva, takes on a far-reaching journey through the artist's entire output, bringing together a total of almost 140 works. More than 220 of the works are reproduced in the catalogue, together with a selection of the many papers and articles written by him. In addition to the curator, other scholars from different backgrounds reconstruct the vast scenario of the artist's cultural interests: philosopher Massimo Dona, archaeologist Giovanni Pettinato, mathematician Claudio Bartocci, art critic Gabriele Guercio, Italo Tomassoni, director of the Friends of Gino De Dominicis Association and Fabio Sargentini, owner of the gallery that first displayed his works.
