Lucky was a remarkable dog who found me in 1985. he was so remarkable that he decided to write the story of his not unremarkable life, so he did and this is it. He was about 119 when he died but as old dogs do, he had a lot of memories and his book is full of true stories which actually happened, about himself and his friends. The dogs and people he mentions really exist and most of them can be seen in Sutton Park today. The places he writes about are also real and it's possible to trace the twists and turns of his life by reading his book. Lucky was a dog with attitude and opinions on almost everything. he introduces each story, using his own words and although his views on his friends are, he thinks honest, he's not always as tactful as he might have been. Lucky's life is illustrated by Anna, my daughter, who was responsible for renaming him. She and Lucky were very close and she was there when many of the events he describes took place. Anna is now a Children's Book Illustrator.
