Helsingborgs läge vid Öresunds rand fick en gång smeknamnet ”Sundets pärla” och inget kunde väl vara mer rätt. Helsingborg väcker mångas intresse och det lockar att flytta hit från andra platser. Läget ut mot övriga Europa har säkert också sin betydelse, men faktiskt är det så att Helsingborg har själv fått en mera kontinental prägel med mängder av upplevelser både i staden och i dess omedelbara närhet. Så det är inte bara nära till kontinenten, den är redan här. Utbudet av handel, kaféer, restauranger och kulturliv har fått en styrka som lyfter på ett härligt sätt. Utvecklingen går framåt och det är med en stor övertygelse man kommer att få se förändringar av Helsingborg inom de närmaste åren. Förändringar som ger känslan av att det är – staden som berör våra hjärtan.

Helsingborg’s position on the Öresund Strait, better known as the Sound, once gave the town its nickname – the Pearl of the Sound. Nothing could be more fitting. Helsingborg arouses much interest and attracts many newcomers from afar. Its location relative to the rest of Europe has undoubtedly played a part in the town’s growth; but, over the years, Helsingborg has acquired a more continental flavour, tempting us with innumerable sights, sounds and other wonderful experiences both in the urban centre and in the immediate vicinity. So, not only is it close to the continent, the continent is already here. Retail trade, cafés, restaurants and the culture scene have been given a lift that makes our hearts soar. We are convinced that, in years to come, this trend of positive change will continue to leave its mark on Helsingborg. Changes for the better – in the heart and soul of our town.
