What happens when the fuel pump on Jimmy Olson's Volkswagen dies and he ends up in Las Vegas, New Mexico, instead of his intended goal, Santa Fe? Instead of becoming a book critic for a profitable newspaper, he becomes an inexperienced reporter at a money-losing newspaper just as the local district attorney has disappeared.
