Although I served in the Marines during the horrors of World War II and during the equally fierce Korean War, I never actually, personally shot any enemies; not a single one.

But as the reader understands, most servicemen didn't kill anyone either and there were still adventures aplenty for a young man eager to serve his nation in the time of need.
