Chet Baker Trio – Live in Paris, comprising 1983-84 previously unissued live performances by the famed trumpeter-vocalist presented as a three-lp record store day exclusive by elemental music.

The dazzling performances by Chet’s drumless trios will be complemented with essays by journalist and author Ashley Kahn, journalist Franck Bergerot, Pascal Rozat of Ina France, and interviews with Baker sidemen Riccardo Del Fra, Dominique Lemerle, and Richie Beirach.

Looking back at one memorable Baker performance at Le Petit Opportun, journalist Bergerot writes, “It was as if Chet was playing the trio all by himself, sharing his sense of space with his fellow musicians, fully expressing himself, melting his being with the music, but without showing any sign of ego.”
