The book also highlights the history of Dutch clients as they had a large infuence on the architecture. Among these clients, Louis de Geer plays a central role. Moreover, it describes the role that the Dutch played in the foundation and development of the city of Gothenburg in the 1600s, a century when the Dutch connection had great significance in Swedish trade, culture and sciences.
