Passionate pursuit of truth - which will be referred to in this pamphlet in a wider sense as academism - is the foundation of independent thinking, functioning democratic society and innovative economic activity. Clear action plans have seldom, however, been created for exploring the challenges that the pursuit of truth may often face in different contexts and to secure its operational freedom and large-scale adoption for both economically productive purposes and objectives which may be justifiable on other than purely economic grounds. This pamphlet explores ten challenges to academism and proposes solutions to them. One of the unifying themes throughout the pamphlet is an attempt to demonstrate the potential merits of the uncompromising pursuit of truth and to secure the right conditions for such pursuits regardless of the organizational forms or operating environments.
