The international Madrid-based Prog Rock / Jazz Fusion band Aurora Clara release their fourth album entitled IV. After the more organic and semi acoustic Dreams (2023), they move forward to a much more rocky sound. The album includes some really wild playing and very inspired improvisations by all three main solists. The powerhouse drummer Marco Anderson is in his element throughout the whole album. The record also includes some softer moods, like the all acoustic flamenco inspired cover of their “Song to John”, from their first album Transformation (2019), the enigmatic “Maktub”, and the relaxed Funk Jazz piece “End of January”. Every one of the six compositions included has its own mood, very different from each other but still working well as a whole.
The musicians represent six different nationalities.
