Creating a Catalyst for Thinking is a practical, user-friendly guide to understanding the history, philosophy, politics, design, and teaching of interdisciplinary curriculum. Students are presented with a wealth of background information as they are guided through the various stages of curriculum development. Students will learn how to create inductive, activity-based units of study that make the most of current reading theories and practices. Each of the unit activities contains concept comparison charts and information about the benefits of using the process and rubrics/checklists for evaluating its merits.
