One of the true vocal hits of its time, The Andrews Sisters were one of the best American close harmony singing groups of the swing and boogie-woogie eras. They consisted of three authentic sisters: contralto LaVerne, soprano Maxene, and mezzo-soprano Patricia “Patty”. It is considered that they sold an estimated 80 million records. The Andrews Sisters’ harmonies and songs are still influential today, and have been copied and recorded by entertainers such as Patti Page, Bette Midler, Christina Aguilera, Pentatonix, and others.
