Use this CD-ROM data file to import 2004 ICD-9-CM codes and descriptions into your billing and claims reporting software. This CD-ROM contains all 2004 ICD-9-CM diagnosis codes, a change indicator field to indicate whether a code is new or revised and a code status field to indicate whether a code requires an additional fourth and/or fifth digit. Three description lengths are also included: the abbreviated diagnosis descriptions up to 35-characters in length, the abbreviated (where necessary) diagnosis descriptions up to 48-characters in length and the full, unabbreviated diagnosis descriptions.
