The fourth, will show the Camp, the Column and Tour-dOrdre, a spot consecrated by the stay there of the Emperor Napoleon. The tables of the four fronts of the pedestal, will be of bronze, and represent in relievo the above mentioned subjects. The ornaments of the pedestal and of the capital, will show in exact proportions, the different vessels composing the flolilla, and trophies of arms of all kind. The cornice of the pedestal and the capital, will be made of white marble, and the shaft, of marble of the Boulonnais. The interior of the pedestal, will contain a room for records, in which will be deposited the historical of the expedition, the medals struck since, the reign of Napoleon, and the list of the j) army. The soldiers composing the army, will alone concur and work to the erection of the monu- ment; four commissaires will be named to superinted its execution. For the execution of the statue of His Majesty, as well as the relievos and ornaments of the pedestal, there will be a competion of the most celebrated artists of the Empire. The Pillar will be placed between the ge- neral head quarters of the Tour-d'Ordre and the Camp of the first division, in sight of the Continent, opposite the channel and England.
