This book opens with an introduction on the history of the architectural culture of Finland. The essay summarises the architectural history of the country, beginning just after World War II, and continues through to the most recent research. The rest of the book is dedicated to a fascinating selection of the most representative architectural pursuits of recent decades, all pertaining to Finland. Every project is introuduced with a descriptive summary and illustrated with images, photographs and sketches. Projects featured include Lusto, The Finnish Forest Museum and Forest Information Centre, Turku Art Academy, Kiasma Museum of Contemporary Art, Moby Dick House and Parliament House Annexe.
