Saudi Arabia - Tackling Emerging Economic Challenges to Sustain Strong Growth
For the past few years, Saudi Arabia's economy has grown strongly, but the recent drop in oil prices threatens to undermine fiscal and external balances and future growth. The Saudi Arabian economy's reliance on oil revenues raises two key challenges: how best to manage the heavy dependence on oil revenues, and how to diversify its economy to reduce this dependence. This paper addresses important aspects of these challenges.
