St George Blood and Martyrs
A blend of history, legend and artistic creativity that replays the legend of St George and the Dragon as symbolic of the greatest persecution that the Church suffered under Rome. George, who is a gifted artist as well as a legionary officer, is martyred when Christians are falsely accused of treason. But the memory of the persecutions drives Constantine to establish the Church by force of arms at the battle of the Milvian Bridge. The dragon appears twice, once in the legend and later as the symbol of tyranny.
