I wanted to recognise patterns in my own particular method of communicating with Spirit, no matter how strange. So I wrote everything down. At first images launched themselves at me like snowballs. Then pictures and names assailed me like the deafening trailer for the latest blockbuster. This eventually settled down as I learnt to focus. I could then see and hear without picking up any unnecessary noise, and calmly communicate with Spirit.
