Despite the large numbers of prokaryote viruses and their morphological diversity and ubiquity, there is no atlas illustrating them. This situation contrasts with the attention given to animal and plant viruses, which have been relatively well illustrated. This book will correct this oversight and illustrate prokaryotic viruses of two general types: archaeal viruses and bacterial viruses.
Key selling features:
Illustrates prokaryotic viruses with beautiful SEMs
Distinguishes archaeal from bacterial viruses
Documents the structural variability of prokaryotic viruses
