Report on a Workshop on Technology Choices, Work and Society's Future
This workshop held in Aspen, Colorado in 1978 had a specific dilemma in compiling evidence as to whether alternate technologies in the aggregate have the capacity, if properly encouraged and supported, to provide critically needed new jobs and more meaningful kinds of work. Most, if not all, of the participants in the workshop agreed that the high cost of energy now gives many alternate technologies a greater economic advantage than they were perceived to have a short time ago. Co-published with the Aspen Institute.
