The key well logging methods of prospecting exploration, and production of oil, gas ores, and coals are all considered in this volume. The trends in the Soviet Union's development of well logging are similar to those elsewhere, the main difference is that due to the difficulties of bringing ideas into commercial practice, Soviet scientists concentrate on the solutions to theoretical problems. This book presents some of these Russian solutions.
