Beautiful and mysterious water nymphs are at this moment plenteous in Connecticut, and environmental degradation effects them to a very serious degree. The new novel, Falling In Love With The Earth A Tale of Love and Strange Weather, begins with this premise. Nymphs and other mythological figures have intriguing and deepening relationships with each other and with contemporary mortals in town and country settings. Action occurs by rural streams and a city fountain, in abandoned mills, at municipal meetings and the Nathan Hale homestead, for some examples. Shape shifting, revelations and transformations occur. Uncanny stray animals appear and help as problems arise. Strange weather interweaves through the story and when it grows severe, mortals must make choices they had never dreamed they would have to consider.
