The Sawmill Roots Orchestra hail from Tartu, Estonia and mix Mississippi Delta Blues with New Orleans Jazz and Swing - with a line-up that would be unusual in any genre: slide guitar, clarinet, trumpet and drums. With the youthful horn section of Aveli Paide and Aigor Post joining the road-hardened alt.blues duo of Andres Roots and Raul Terep, the orchestra's music ranges from uptempo dance numbers to slow blues improvisations, covering pretty much every stop in between.
