This is the only book of its kind to specifically address how early childhood professionals can give children with risk factors the academic, social, and emotional support they need. 

 

Characteristics of what makes young children vulnerable for school problems are discussed to let teachers know what to look for, and teacher strategies are presented to strengthen children's skills and increase learning and achievement in kindergarten and the primary grades.  Includes cases and student work samples to illustrate strategies.
