Marilyn Stubbings was born in London then moved to Romford when she was 2. She grew up there and met her husband John. When they married they moved to Clare, which is a small town on the Suffolk/Essex borders. They live there with their 2 children Heidi and Elliott. Marilyn works as a Teaching Assistant with primary school children and an IT Learning Facilitator with adults. She has been writing since the children were small and this is her first venture into publishing her work. She has also written several short stories and a play and hopes to finally get down to writing her novel when she retires in a couple of years time.
