”Black-and-white stories” – the collection of transcriptions of authored versions and interpretations of standards for the piano of a world-renowned jazz pianists: Bill Evans, Kenny Kirkland, Antonio Farao, Harry Connick. In this case the word “transcriptions” means the translation of an audio-material on the note symbols language. The collection is a study guide and it includes short methodological recommendations for the each play, as well as biographical data about the pianists. Transcriptions are necessary in the process of jazz performance because they provide a detailed analysis of composition’s structure.
