Secondly, the authors share the results from interviews with 85 women adult women survivors. Their journals, poems and artwork have been collated with what the women themselves have found to be both helpful and counterproductive methods of healing. The authors outline intentions and procedures for nonverbal methods of treatment that have proved effective in practice.
